Hours Summary
Level 1 Supplementals
Any level 1 student who receives an offer of a supplemental evaluation will be required to complete a minimum of 5 hours of faculty/staff supervised tutoring per supplemental exam, before being eligible to challenge their supplemental exam. These hours must be completed in the first month of the next term (January for students who started the program in September, May in the case of students who started in January).
Once you have completed the minimum number of tutoring hours, you may then email your professor and request a day and time to challenge your supplemental evaluation.
- N.B. The 5 hour stipulation is simply a minimum number. If you (or your supports) do not feel you are prepared to challenge, and pass, your supplemental exam after 5 hours of tutoring, you are encouraged to continue meeting with a tutor until you are confident in the material.
After Fanshawe publishes your final grades, course professors will communicate the format of your supplemental evaluation. Supplementals may take any of the following formats:
- written exam
- practical lab exam
- project
The passing grade for all FHP supplemental evaluations is a 60%.
- N.B. In situations where you need to use the exercise equipment to prepare for a practical exam supplemental, you should book into the open lab times.
