Description:

Walking is a tremendous low impact aerobic option for older adults with painful joints (e.g. arthritis).  It is functional.  It can help with joint range of motion and balance.  It can be social.  It can be completed indoors (treadmill, track, mall) or outdoors (trail, park).  To increase intensity try increasing pace or walking on an incline/hill.
