PHRE 3043 – Functional Movement and Conditioning

Progressing from Principles of Fitness exercise techniques, Students will learn additional training strategies in order to design exercise programs for client’s wishing to improve anaerobic capacity, movement quality, and occupational requirements (e.g. police and paramedic). Students will be introduced to various training techniques such as: joint mobility, dynamic warm-ups, multi-joint lifting techniques, lunging/stepping patterns, grip strength, advanced cardiovascular interval and tempo training, circuits and more.

Description:
  • This is a regression for the KB hinge
  • Hold the strap, single strap mode, in hand further away from anchor.
  • Keeping the arm in the strap locked out, push your butt out in the direction of the locked-out arm. Slowly lean until you can touch the floor by your foot on the side of your free hand. You will be rotating and hinging toward the anchor.
  • Keep your eyes on the hand holding the strap.
  • Pause for a second after reaching the ground and reverse the motion back to the starting position.
Common Error(s): Rounded lower back | Not engaging core
