PHRE 3044 – Special Populations

This course focuses on adaptive exercise techniques for a variety of populations (i.e. children, pregnancy, older adults, disabilities, and chronic disease). Students will learn how to modify exercises and/or equipment to effectively and safely accommodate these groups.

Description:

While seated upright on stability ball with good posture engage the pelvic floor muscles by drawing inwards and upwards from the anus while engaging the muscles that stop urine flow.  Continue to breath during this activity.  Hold and relax repetitions of 5 to 10 seconds are recommended.
