This course focuses on post injury prevention and reconditioning exercises for clients that have had or are at risk of having an athletic (sports) related injury. Functional anatomy, postural evaluation and muscle imbalances will be used to develop exercise strategies for common sports related injuries.

Description: |
- Using a neutral grip, hold two dumbbells extended in front of your chest. Your arms should be perpendicular to the floor.
- Keeping the upper arms stationary, lower the dumbbells by allowing the elbows to flex. Inhale as you perform this portion of the movement. Pause once the dumbbells are alongside the forehead. Ensure the movement happens at the elbow, and not the shoulder.
- Lift the bar back to the starting position by extending the elbow and exhaling.
- Repeat.
Variation
- EZ Curl:Â Have client perform the movement with an EZ curl bar, bringing the bar down to just above the forehead.
