PHRE 3045 – Sports Injuries

This course focuses on post injury prevention and reconditioning exercises for clients that have had or are at risk of having an athletic (sports) related injury. Functional anatomy, postural evaluation and muscle imbalances will be used to develop exercise strategies for common sports related injuries.

Description:

1. Lie supine on floor with lower legs on exercise ball, arms extended out to sides.
2. Straighten low back, knees, and hips, raising back and hips off of floor.
3. Keeping hips and low back straight, bend knees, pulling heels toward rear end (allow feet to roll up on to ball).
4. Pause, then lower to original position.

Common Error(s): Using Excessive Momentum | Not engaging core
