PHRE 5003 – High Performance Training for Sport

This course focuses on training strategies and tools appropriate for athletic populations. In particular, students will learn: 1-RM strength testing, Wingate protocols, Tabata training, snatch progressions, clean progressions, plyometrics.

Description:

While standing upright lift yourself completely onto your toes by engaging your calf musculature.  Although it is recommended to have a spotting option close by (e.g. counter or chair) try to resist holding on in order to challenge ankle stability and balance.  Progress to one leg when able.
